From the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office:
Penobscot, ME – “On Thursday, 02-22-2018, the Hancock County Alcohol Enforcement Team conducted an enforcement detail in western Hancock County. While performing the detail, members of the Alcohol Enforcement Team learned of a large underage drinking keg party being attended by approximately 50 people at a residence located at 536 Dunbar Road in Penobscot.
During the course of the investigation, a vehicle leaving the large gathering was stopped on the Back Shore Road in Castine. It was determined the operator, Andrew WALTZ (20) of Topsham, had been consuming alcohol and was subsequently transported to the Bucksport Police Department where a breath test was administered. The results of that breath test indicated Mr. WALTZ’ breath alcohol concentration was greater than 0.00% (zero tolerance). Mr. WALTZ was charged with Possession of Liquor by a Minor and the breath test results will be forwarded to the Secretary of State for administrative OUI action.
Deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Troopers with the Maine State Police then approached the Dunbar Road residence and contacted those in attendance. The following were contacted and charged with Illegal Possession of Liquor by a Minor:

Those renting the Penobscot residence were identified as being, Michael ANTONAVICH (21) of Mount Vernon, ME, Thomas DAVIS (21) of Lake Wylie, SC and Andrew VENDITTO (21) of Somers, NY. All three were arrested for Furnishing a
Place for Minors to Consume Liquor and transported to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth where they were able to post the $60.00 cash bail and have since been released.
“It’s this type of high risk behavior our alcohol enforcement team was designed to identify and address or, at the very least, deter before what starts out as a night of fun ends in mourning”.
