Tremont – Cops
(Tremont) – For years the Town of Tremont has hired the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department to patrol the town for 40-hours a week. That may change. Voters this week approved seeking a patrol contract from the neighboring Southwest Harbor Police Department. There’s a budget cap on how much Tremont would pay for patrol, and the Mt. Restitution Payments
(Augusta) An Augusta woman sentenced 15 years ago for embezzling from a trade group must keep paying restitution even though the organization no longer exists.
