From State Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland:
“State Police continue to look for 52 year old Dale Godfrey of Lebanon , who has been missing since early last Wednesday morning (4/26). He is wanted for a domestic violence assault at his home.
Troopers and game wardens, aided by a blood hound from the Strafford County, NH Sheriff’s Office, searched a large wooded area off Champion St. in Lebanon Saturday and found Godfrey’s checkbook in a stream, but no sign of him. Troopers now think someone may have picked him up, or he may still be in the area. Godfrey fled the home in his pickup truck, which was found near the area that was searched over the weekend. Trooper Kyle Wells said Godfrey has not shown up for work in Berwick, there has been no activity on his cell phone, and no financial transactions on any of his accounts. Anyone with information on Godfrey is asked to call Maine State Police in Gray at 657-3030.”
