Police Chief Trial
(Bar Harbor) – It’ll be at least 6-more months before a trial can move forward in the case of Bar Harbor’s former police chief who is suing the town for firing him nearly 3-years ago. Nathan Young’s attorney requested a stay, saying his client needs medical treatment. The town manager at the time fired Young after his own officers found him slumped behind the wheel of his pickup truck in Town Hill. He claimed the firing was unjust because he suffers from alcoholism. Young was arrested twice around this past Christmas on OUI charges.
