
From the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office:
“On Tuesday, January 17, 2017, Detectives from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office obtained and executed an arrest warrant on Anthony Yurchick, 49 yoa, of Blue Hill. Yurchick has been with Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief in connection with two separate thefts from gas pumps located at Tradewinds Market in Blue Hill and from the thrift shop also located in Blue Hill.
The arrest was as a result of the collaboration between Detectives Benjamin Astbury, Steve McFarland and Maine State Police who provided information to the detectives regarding an independent theft investigation they were conducting at Tradewinds Market.
Search warrants were executed in Brewer and Holden with assistance of Brewer Police Department and the Holden Police Department in connection to these cases.
Yurchick was also charged with Robbery by the Brewer Police Department on Wednesday in connection to an armed robbery in which a firearm was brandished at a motel in Brewer.
Yurchick was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.”
