“This afternoon in Washington County, a vehicle has hit a pole and 2073 customers are without power. Crews are responding to this incident, working quickly and safely to restore service and replace the pole. The towns that are impacted by this incident include: BANGOR, BERRY TWP, CATHANCE TWP, DENNYSVILLE, EAST MACHIAS, EASTPORT, EDMUNDS, EDMUNDS TWP, JACKSONVILLE, MARION TWP, MARSHFIELD, PEMBROKE, PERRY, PLEASANT POINT.
The public is urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, if approaching utility crews working on roadways, to ensure everyone’s safety.
Customers who use generators or alternate heating sources are reminded to ensure they are used in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines at all times.
