Man killed on ME Turnpike when he slams into back of plow truck

Information from Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland:

(Wells) State Police say northbound traffic on the Maine Turnpike was reduced to one lane this morning as they tended to the scene of a fatal crash. Troopers say a pickup truck slammed into the rear of a plow truck, instantly killing the pickup truck driver, 48-year-old Michael Sands of Waldoboro. The accident was at mile marker 16 in the far left travel lane of the northbound side, snarling traffic for a few hours.
