Palermo man faces Domestic Violence Assault charge

From the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office:

“On January 2, 2017 at 7:30 pm the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance on the Martin Woods Road in the Town of Palermo. Deputy Jon Shaw and Cpl. Greg Jones responded to the call.

While in route to the residence Deputies were advised that Roger West, 38 years old, of Chelsea, had left the scene. Once on scene Deputy Shaw interviewed all the remaining parties involved in the incident. Deputy Shaw learned from his investigation that Mr. West arrived at the residence and assaulted two individuals at the residence including a former domestic partner.

Mr. West was later located by Cpl. Jones and taken into custody. Mr. West was charged with Domestic Violence Assault, Class C. The Assault charge was a Class C offense due to prior assault convictions.

Mr. West was transported to the Waldo County Correctional Center where he was held with no bail allowed until he is able to be arranged.”
