Orland Motorcycle Crash

Clown-Lamoine
(Lamoine) – It does not appear that the creepy but fictitious Pennywise the Clown is hanging around Lamoine, though police responded to a call there last week. The caller said a person wearing a clown mask and carrying a hatchet was walking along Route 184 in the coastal Hancock County town. Two deputies responded but didn’t find anyone fitting the description. When the latest Stephen King movie “It” came out last year clown sitings were common, but they’re rare now. King has relatives who live along the same road where the Lamoine siting was reported.

The shotgun used in the crime has been recovered. The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department wants to hear from anyone with information on the crime.

Football-Illness
(Scarborough) Officials cancelled a high school football game over concerns about hand, foot, and mouth disease. Silver Airways
(Trenton) Silver Airways had a successful first season at the Hancock County-Bar Harbor airport. The air carrier had to acclimate quickly when the previous company Pen-Air withdrew its service from the airport a month early. Airport manager Bradley Madiera tells Star 97.7 that of the 278 flights that Silver Airways operated to and from the airport, they only canceled 3 flights and each was due to weather. Madiera says Silver Airways provided affordable, reliable service this summer and the airport looks forward to having Silver Airways return next year.
