County Ambulance Settlement
(Bangor) – An Ellsworth ambulance company that provides emergency services to most of Eastern Hancock County will pay the federal government more than $16-thousand dollars because it employed someone it should not have. The US Attorney’s office tells Star 97.7 that County Ambulance cooperated during the investigation. The ambulance business failed to check a list of prohibited employees between January 2015 and April 2016 when it employed a worker who lost her pharmacy technician license because she diverted controlled substances.
