
From Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland:
“Last night just before 9 pm Paul McCleary (49) was traveling north in a 2003 Chevrolet sedan on Route 2A in Glenwood Plantation when a moose crossed the travel lane in front of his car. McCleary could not avoid the animal and struck the moose causing substantial damage to the hood, front bumper, front windshield, back windshield, and roof.. McCleary had a head cut and a wrist injury. He was checked out by Calais Fire EMS at the crash site. His car was demolished.”
