From the State Fire Marshal’s Office:
“State Fire Marshals say a second body has been recovered from a house fire in the Town of Washington this morning. The second body was found in the rubble of the fire that had fallen into the basement. Investigators are now attempting to determine how the fire started.
Being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland for burns and smoke inhalation is 56 year old Elizabeth Rhodes who lived at the home with her husband and their adult son. The two men are believed to be the fire victims. They are 53 year old Steven Rhodes and 25 year old Isaac Rhodes. The younger man was pulled from inside the home by firefighters and deputies, who attempted to resuscitate him. Both bodies will be examined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.”
